The Torah mentions Mount Ḥor in the list of journeys and reminds us that Aaron ascended that peak and died there “at the command of God.” The expression “at the command of God” in the Torah is עַל פּי ה׳, which literally means “on the mouth of God.” Therefore, Rashi says that Aaron died “with a kiss” (בְּנְשִׁיקָה) from God.
